Hi, I'm Corina - born in Romania, currently living in the
UK - and I've been traveling the world since 2006. I discovered this
passion when I chose to visit Tunisia, in a time when most Romanians were choosing
destinations like Turkey or Greece. My final year in Law School found me also working
as a personal assistant at a travel agency in Bucharest. There, I saw a couple
of brochures and booklets about the African country. The photos were stunning.
I could not afford trips abroad at that time but I decided that, no matter
what, my first getaway must be Tunisia. I didn't even know much about the
country, yet I was determined to take it as a first try, only because I had the
exotic photos in my mind for quite some years. A couple of years later, I
finally reached the destination with my husband. It was quite an adventure for
both of us but to me it was so much more - my first trip abroad, my first
flight ever, my first attempt to visit a different continent etc etc.
Once I finished college, I found
a good job working as a jurist, so my holidays became shorter and my dreams a bit narrow. I almost forgot I promised myself I will always look for the
extraordinary in this life and will do my best to travel and discover new
places and people. My husband Mike is passionate about watches so, the moment
he told me about Baselworld - the famous Watch and Jewellery Show in
Switzerland - it suddenly opened my eyes, so I went on my laptop, searched for
plane tickets to Basel and made his dream come true. It was that easy! Two
months later, I combined his passion with my passion for photography and here
we were on a first long haul flight to Tokyo. So exciting and amazing! Two
weeks after our return from Japan, I found an amazing deal from Rome to Bangkok
then back to Rome from Jakarta. I learned what open jaw flight meant. Needless
to say we flew to Rome then we spent 3 beautiful weeks in Thailand, Malaysia
and Indonesia.
We've been visiting over 40 countries so
far and our wish list is still looking exciting. This new approach changed our lives
completely and we've never been happier.
My blog is mostly about my
adventures, tips on how to travel the smart way, hot deals and many other
useful information, while being delighted to share some of my most dear photography
from my trips around the world.
Currently living in the UK, I
managed to transform my life into a continuous trip and realized that living
wherever you like is the best way to fulfill your dreams. Working and
traveling, learning and embracing new information along the journey, this is my
key to success.
